Ecclesiastic & Architectural
Tracing back to the 1800's we have the lineage in design and manufacture of high end ecclesiastical, municipal or domestic stained glass.
We carry your project through from site visit, faculty vidimus (if applicable), full size cartoon, hand painted and fired, leading and fitting - all taken care of by the skilled artist at Andrew Brepi Stained Glass.
Stained glass windows really do make a beautiful addition to any home, illuminating space with stunning rays of light.
Once an idea has been planted, the next step is to draw out a design. We can offer several designs before you choose the right one for you. When the final design meets your approval, we can start selecting glass and piecing together your dream window.
Depending on the size and complexity of the design, it could take up to 10 weeks to complete the manufacturing process. We will keep you informed of progress along the way before arranging a convenient time to install.
So if you would like to add individuality and value to your home, why not call us or pop in for an informal chat about your ideas. With our professional service and vast experience you won’t be disappointed.
Repairs & Restoration
Unfortunately no stained glass is invincible, and over the years these stunning windows will start to show signs of wear.
Panels may start to bow and leak or individual panes may break. Thankfully we are trained in all the relevant skills to rectify this.
We offer full restoration including every aspect and detail; professional removal of the glass, painting and firing, matching antique glass, releading and waterproofing, whether a domestic fitting, ecclesiastical or municipal setting, we give your installations the protection they need to last decades.
About Brepi Stained Glass
Andrew began his career with Lazenby Leaded Lights in 1990; a traditional stained glass window manufacturer which had originally been established in 1884 by William Lazenby. In time William Lazenby's great granddaughter Valerie Green took over the main running of the business, developing what became The Stained Glass Centre at Cayton just outside Scarborough. Andrew became part of the Stained Glass Centre team quite organically. In time and with different business roles Andrew has now become the sole manufacturing element at the centre and runs an independent business working alongside with The Stained Glass Centre.
Today, Andrew Brepi continues this wonderful trade after over 20 years of mastering the craft under Valerie Green. He injects new life into this timeless art with his unique ideas and designs, whilst maintaining the traditional ethos of his predecessors.
He is a specialist in the design, manufacture, repair and installation of stained glass windows, producing quality products for the public sector, homes and churches across the UK. Whether it’s traditional or contemporary, he can help you create the perfect design. He also produces lampshades, mirrors and other decorative items. With so many variations to choose from, you are sure to find exactly what you want to add a touch of class and elegance to your home.
He offers a completely bespoke design service tailored to your exact requirements. Working with you he will produce an imaginative piece as unique and individual as you are, and turn your idea into reality. His current examples will show some of the innovative designs he has created.
Many homes now have double glazing and due to increasing demand, Andrew is fully competent and trained to encapsulate a stained glass panel into a double glazed unit. The advantages of double glazing remains, but with the enhancement of a beautiful design within it.
